LIVE MUSIC - Matt Cal
We're stoked to welcome one of WA's finest blues musicians - Matt Cal to the Banksia front bar for an intimate Sunday afternoon of West Australian roots, blues and folk.
Hailing from Kalamunda, Matt is an engaging songwriter whose music blends acoustic guitar, dobro, slide guitar and stomp with thoughtful, earthy lyrics and melodies. His laid-back style draws on the great songwriters of the ages while carving out a sound that's distinctly his own.
It's been a huge 12 months for Matt, with the release of his sixth EP, Magic Potion, appearances at Nannup Music Festival, support slots alongside Ash Grunwald and Tijuana Cartel, plus a string of sold-out and touring shows across WA.
Joining Matt for the afternoon will be local Busso blues-man Bear McGrath, firing up the afternoon with a healthy dose of down-beat blues and six-string goodness.

LIVE MUSIC - The Jarrah Celts
Get ready for an afternoon of Celtic tunes, pub ballads and plenty of good craic as The Jarrah Celts make their Banksia debut on Sunday the 16th of August.
Hailing from the jarrah forests of Roleystone in the Perth Hills, The Jarrah Celts blend traditional Irish and Scottish folk with original songwriting inspired by their home on Noongar country. Their lively mix of jigs, reels and singalong ballads comes to life through wooden flutes, fiddle, bodhrán, guitars, mandolin and double bass, creating an afternoon that's equal parts energetic, heartfelt and seriously good fun.
Join us in the Banksia front bar for another intimate Sunday afternoon of live music, great food and a few pints along the way.
